Show Me the Birth Certificate. The Long Form!

He who shall not be named came to political popularity advocating the conspiracy theory that his predecessor was not born in the United States.  Never mind that the guys mom was a white woman from Kansas and he was born in Honolulu Hawaii verified, even by the medical staff who were there. Despite those facts, He who shall not be named....okay, that is tedious, I will name him. I will call him Trumpamort,
Trumpamort persisted in pushing the lie and only finally admitted in September 2016 that he was incorrect. Our former president was one hundred percent American Citizen. Trumpamort said so, finally.
It is an old adage that a good offense is the best defense.  Based on Trumpamorts insistence on spreading the lie, I would like to propose a theory of my own:

TRUMP was not born in the United States.   He is an alien. An alien out to destroy the world.

I base this theory on these facts:
-his skin color is orange.
-he has difficulty communicating in the English language(read conservative columnist George Will's examination of this problem)
-he has special tweeting ability to spread hate and discord
-he has the ability to brainwash ordinary Americans into voting for him despite the fact that his rich man's agenda is detrimental to their own well being.  Somehow he has convinced millions to cut off their nose to spite their face.
-he has single-handedly put the entire Earth in jeopardy by pulling out of the Paris climate agreement.

If you have watched Third Rock from the Sun you know that what I am telling you here is possible, and I say, probable.

If he was born here, I want to see his birth certificate.    All Americans need to demand to see the alien's birth certificate.  And make sure its the long form And it better not say Area 51 as his home town! Or Orangeman as his ethnicity!

Trying to Run the Local Paper Out of Town

The way the Orange Guy in the White House is waging war against major newspapers reminds me of T. Boone Pickens and his fight with the Amarillo newspaper that criticized him back in 1986,  He told his 400 employees at the company Christmas party to cancel their subscriptions.  Does the Orange Guy in the White House think that millions will stop watching CNN, cancel their subscriptions to the Wall Street Journal and Huffington Post and that they will stop reporting about what he is doing to this nation?

Here's what happened with T. Boone and the Amarillo Globe News , according to an article in The Chicago Tribune by Paul Weingarten, November 26, 1987:

"The defiant rallying cry for the evening referred not to any politician or local football team, but to what seems a most unlikely subject for such an impassioned assemblage: the Amarillo Globe-News, the town`s monopoly daily newspaper, circulation 71,000.
``The Globe News,`` declared Paul Engler, president of a group calling itself the Panhandle Citizens for a Better Amarillo Newspaper is ``nationally known for its shabby journalism and its reputation has shed a bad light on our Panhandle communities.``
It was the opening volley in a well-orchestrated and heavily financed campaign to boycott the newspaper and force its sale because of perceived
``negative and slanted`` news coverage.
The spark that galvanized the group of business and civic leaders in Amarillo-most prominent among them the oilman and corporate raider T. Boone Pickens-apparently was an eight-part series that explored racism against Hispanics in the neighboring town of Hereford.
``It was devastating to the community,`` says Hereford Mayor Wes Fisher, who fears bad publicity will discourage newcomers to this heavily Hispanic town of 16,000.
Fisher turned to Pickens, who had led an earlier crusade against the Globe-News after the paper disclosed cost overruns last year at West Texas State University, where Pickens is chairman of the Board of Regents.
The battle reflects deep frustrations in the Panhandle region, which has been among the hardest hit in Texas` economic slump. Downtown Amarillo is riddled with boarded-up businesses, and bankruptcies and bank failures continue to soar as prices for agricultural commodities, natural gas and oil remain low.
``The paper should be a positive force towards bringing new economic development into the Panhandle,`` asserts Mark Davis, a local carpet merchant. Outside the Panhandle, the confrontation is stirring debate over such issues as freedom of the press, and the influence of powerful business interests in this community of 182,000.
``This sounds like the old lynch-mob attitude,`` says Phil Record, former national president of the Society of Professional Journalists and associate executive editor of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. ``If you`re unhappy with the messenger, let`s hang him.``
``Bottom line, it`s a 1st Amendment issue,`` says Garet von Netzer, executive editor of the Amarillo Globe-News papers. ``Does a paper have the right to serve the public`s right to know . . . whether it`s negative or positive stories?``"``It`s a lousy newspaper,`` retorts Pickens, recently proclaimed by a state magazine as the second most powerful man in Texas. (Dallas billionaire H. Ross Perot was first.)
The Panhandle Citizens last week launched its unprecedented campaign, issuing a press packet stuffed with ``I Canceled`` bumper stickers, buttons, and a videotape featuring local news programs.
In an open letter, the Citizens urged 120 advertisers to ``cut back`` by 25 percent on their advertising and asked Amarillo residents to cancel their subscriptions.
The campaign is already claiming victory on one front. Last week, Globe-News General Manager Jerry Huff was reassigned to coordinate coverage of the 1988 presidential campaign for the 19 newspapers in the Morris
Communications chain, based in Augusta, Ga.
``The timing was terrible,`` Von Netzer admits, but he said plans for the new post had been in the works for ``at least six months.``
The paper also has lost about 500 subscriptions and several pages of advertising since the boycott began, said Carl Cannon, group newspaper manager for Morris Communications.
``It`s sure a pretty skinny paper this morning,`` chuckled Bill Gilliland, a local car dealer and member of the Panhandle Citizens. ``You`d have a hard time starting a fire with it.``
Those who attended the rally voiced complaints about a wide range of the newspaper`s coverage, including politics, sports, the arts and social services.
The key word in their complaints was ``negative,`` which often translated into ``investigative.``
``I don`t like the word investigative,`` says Gilliland, ``because I think we need some of that in our society, but it would probably go better in the Washington Post or the Chicago Tribune, not in a small town like Amarillo.``
``Have you ever heard of the Amarillo paper listed among those honored for investigative reporting?`` asks Von Netzer, noting that the paper has only one half-time ``or less`` investigative reporter.
The paper responded to the criticism this week by announcing it will appoint an ombudsman to field reader complaints, and enlist a liaison group of community residents and business leaders to meet regularly with editors to air grievances.
``We try to be as upbeat as possible,`` says Von Netzer, ``but it`s a terribly frustrating time for people, and we have got to tell people what is going on. You don`t make progress in America by supressing news. Once you start, where does that end?``

Read that last paragraph again:but it`s a terribly frustrating time for people, and we have got to tell people what is going on. You don`t make progress in America by supressing news. Once you start, where does that end?``
Same story different day.

What I learned at the Jefferson County Democratic Meeting

Being alarmed by the election of He who Shall Not be Named, I decided I needed to get more politically involved.  So, me and a lot of other people who had the same idea attended the Jefferson County Democratic  meeting downtown Watertown last night.
What I learned:
-in a recent election for district attorney only 16 percent of registered Democrats voted
-Aaron Woolf offered a million dollars of his own money to run for Congress in 2014,  Mike Derrick offered a  half million
-the only 'viable' candidate for congress is one with lots (and lots) of money.
-the prevailing attitude regarding the office of Congresswoman for our district currently held by the young Republican woman who had lots and lots and lots(and still has lots) of money  is that it is unwinnable for Democrats.
-a young woman volunteering to help with registration and who has attended the last three meetings was largely ignored.  Told it was her responsibility to "get aggressive".
-that there are plenty of openings on the Jefferson county Democratic Committee in outlying districts. Four open in Henderson alone.
-that there is a core of dedicated folks who have kept the Democratic party in the North Country going somehow despite being overwhelmingly outnumbered.
-that to change things requires thinking out of the box.

     My suggestions:
-try a go fund me page as well as a pancake breakfast.
-get savvy with social media.  Tweet.  Our new commander, He Who Shall Not be Named tweets nasty crap.  Give it back.
-greet new people who show up at meetings with open arms.  I got the feeling from the folks who have been doing this for years that we were looked upon as tourists and that once the tourists went away you'd just go back to doing things the way you always have been.

What I am going to do now after all I have learned:
-check out the Independent Party
-maybe start my own party.  Remember the Guy who ran for Governor on The Rent is Too Damn High ticket?  He didn't win but raised a little heck, got some issues out there, got his point across, got people thinking.  In many ways this seems more productive than searching for the next person with lots and lots of money to waste in a defeatist district that is pretty sure that they can't win anyway.

It was a bit disheartening.  Yes.  But, never the less, I will persist.

Moving to a Swing State

Forget Canada. I have a brilliant idea for like minded folk worrying about the future of our country.  If you live in say, California or New York and want to make your vote really count in the next election, consider moving to a swing state.  North Carolina could certainly use more Democrats and also Florida.  And don't just go to the Democratic strongholds.  Go to the districts where Republicans outnumber those not brainwashed yet by Fox news and establish residency.
If you say, well I just can't up and move everything, I can't afford this, ask a rich guy for help.  Bill Gates and the guys at Google might help you out as they seem concerned.  Also, Mark Zuckerburg, whose Facebook company unknowingly helped the dark side take over through fake news, might be feeling especially guilty by now and pay for your move.  It wouldn't hurt to ask. Message him.
Twelve score and one year ago, our fathers brought forth, upon this continent, a new nation, conceived in liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that all men (and  now, everybody else, including women!)  ....................and that the government of the people by the people for the people,  shall not perish from the earth.
I'm heading to Florida.  See ya there!

They are Rolling Over in their Graves

It was just a week ago that He Who Shall Not Be Mentioned took the Oath of office of President to uphold the Constitution of the United States,  the law of the land.  But if anyone heard the daily rumble in Philly and Virginia its these guys, our founding fathers, rolling over and over and over in their graves.

The Not My President swore on two bibles that he would do it.  But I think he needs to read it first.    Here's a little chart that might help.  Notice that the Legislature makes laws.  The President can't.  But that is exactly what he who shall not be named is doing with the "executive orders".
Senator John McCain endured torture in our defense, can't you and other representatives with a conscious speak up????  You guys MAKE the laws, not him.  Somebody with some kind of power has to speak up, NOW, not four years from now, not four weeks, but NOW.

The Women's Rally in Washington

There's me, hovering over the top.  There in spirit.  Didn't make it due to sciatica acting up, but with you all just the same.  Ladies and gentlemen, women and men, and especially our young people for whom  all over the world for whom this pro human rights anti hate message matters the most.
The March in D.C got so big it clogged the march route and turned into a massive rally.  I've been looking for the Tweeter in Chief's twit that says Soros paid for all of these folks to attend.  He hasn't come out with it yet.  Hopefully, he is figuring out that there is a lot more to being ruler of the free world than being a propagandist on Tweeter. Or, maybe he's busy reading that little document, The Constitution that he swore to uphold.
Anyway, its not about him so much as it is about US.  US not just marching, rallying but organizing, voting, running for office, demanding accountability.  We may have lost our way, but we can find our way back.  Yes, we can.
Its going to be tough.  For a democracy to work its electorate must be well informed.  And when you are long since past the days of Walter Conkrite telling us that is the way it is, its every newsman or woman for himself.  Every scewed Facebook post, every nasty right wing or left wing newsite with made up "news" is out there.   I hate to say it Mark Zuckerberg and gang, but you are partially responsible for this mess.  I personally know several people who have Fox News on the television in their livingroom from morning till night.  People constantly exposed to that kind of propaganda undergo a kind of brainwashing after awhile.  As Obama has said, "I wouldn't like me if I watched Fox News."  So what's the answer?  First, when you see something posted, CONSIDER THE SOURCE,   There are plenty of  "news" that is actually, propaganda.  Call it fake, untrue or whatever you want, but its propaganda, aimed at getting you to believe a certain way.  Without it the NAZI party would have never come to power. Think that one over carefully.

To America who is Already GREAT, all my best,
Bea

Can We Impeach Him Yet?

I know he is not technically President yet, and Nicole Kidman says give him a chance and all that but really, its time that this pussy grabbing, conspiracy theory thumping, bankruptcy filing, mean spirited man is fired.
He is That Who Cannot be Named, and he goes by many names, Racist, Mysogonist but I prefer The Obnoxious One.  America deserves better than this.  Yes, I know, the country survived Nixon, the corruption of Warren Harding and the gambling and drinking days of Ulysses S. Grant, but that was in the days before the internet.  Now we have the most annoying, objectionable individual about to take over.  Let's not wait to see if we survive as a nation. Get over your shock that Americans actually voted for him and get going.  Start the impeachment proceedings now.
So on what grounds you ask?   You know, first of all, I'd like to see his birth certificate.  Was he REALLY born in the United States?  Sometimes he does seem like an alien.    Seems like all the fuss he made about our President from Hawaii may have been a cover up for himself.  The best defense is a good offense as they say.
Secondly, it doesn't seem like he has read the constitution, the LAW of the land.  How can he be sworn in when he doesn't even fully understand things like Freedom of the Press and the bill of rights??
So call your congressperson, spread the word.  Impeach The Obnoxious One now!!
